Project Engineer - Refinery, Petrochemical Process Design

Location Gurgaon, Haryana (NCR-New Delhi), India with up to 4-6 months of training assignment in US or UK. Job Description Refining and Petrochemical process design working as a member of a team on the preparation of UOP’s world class basic engineering design package, the Schedule A, for UOP’s worldwide customers.

The work involves analysis and generation of unit hydraulics, creation of process flow and P&I diagrams, equipment sizing, equipment specification, selection of process control criteria, and analysis of unit design and operation to generate relief loads and size relief valves.Unique aspects of the job includes: Close coordination with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, CAD drafting, process control, rotating equipment, metallurgy).

Process Design Engineer – Chemical

Essential Functions: Develop Heat and Material balances, Process and Instrumentation diagrams, Equipment sizing and specification sheets and all process calculations , operating guidelines and documentation required for a Process Design Package for Chemical Processes. Support immediate business needs by providing Process Engineering support to Gasification Engineering while ensuring proper prioritization and focus on existing needs

Responsibilities: Work with the Global “Gasification Engineering” Team to design and develop Process Design Packages for GE customers. Develop high quality process engineering packages meeting customer CTQs in an expedited manner. Provide non-routine customer service for gasification and other related process applications.Collaborate with GRC and other relevant GE businesses at JFWTC .

Process Controls Engineer

Location Gurgaon, Haryana (NCR-New Delhi), India. Job Description: Refining and Petrochemical process design working as a member of a team on the preparation of UOP’s world class basic engineering design package. The work involves generating specifications for process control and instrumentation in conformance with UOP’s process design requirements. This position requires a solid understanding of the underlying process and hydraulic fundamentals.

Since the starting points are heat and weight balances, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, equipment specifications, and hydraulic tabulations. Close coordination with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, process, rotating equipment, metallurgy) will be necessary.Job Requirements: Familiar with controls and instrumentation hardware and systems used in oil refinery applications, including control valves, flow elements, temperature, pressure, and level
instruments, analyzers, logic systems, etc.

Ability to evaluate process and hydraulic data presented in bulk form. The engineer routinely evaluates multiple operating cases and determines whether the process hydraulics (especially control valve pressure drops) are adequate to achieve good control for all operating cases. Working knowledge of Piping & Instrument Diagrams – understand what is being represented and be able to effectively use appropriate instrumentation symbology. Understanding of key refinery control concepts, e.g. control of distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors, combustion controls, logic systems, etc.

Ability to rapidly learn UOP’s proprietary instrument specification software to import process data, analyze it, and use to produce finished specifications. A BS degree in Chemical Engineering and 5 years minimum experience with process control systems as used in the refining or petrochemical industries. Familiarity with UOP processes is a plus. The ability to effectively communicate with team members and other engineering personnel is essential.

Biochemical/Chemical Engineer

To qualify for this technically challenging position must possess a BE and ME in Biochemical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years experience. Successful candidate must have developed strong biochemical, biomedical and/or biopharmaceutical engineering capabilities and have a knack for innovative solutions to technically challenging problems through work experience in a research and product and/or a process development environment.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities). Work with product development teams to develop reliability block diagrams for Turbine Control systems. Study the system and electronic boards to identify various sections to translate physical systems to reliability block diagram. Calculate Bellcore numbers for electronic boards. Analyze results to identify weak links in the system. Work with other teams to get system details. Translate IO listing to system configuration.

Identify ways to automate the process as and when desirable. Documentation for all the system studies. Qualifications/ Requirements: B.E./B.Tech. (Electrical/Electronics) with minimum 5yrs. Experience. Minimum two years hands on experience of reliability engg. Knowledge of Bellcore & simulation software like BlockSim. Hands on experience/Ability to understand electronics designs.

SCADA Software Database Engineer

Essential Functions (Responsibilities): A SCADA Software Database Engineer responsible for the database analysis, database design, database access, optimization and maintenance. Software engineer works closely with SCADA development team and control system design engineers to ensure the product design will be competitive and meet product specifications. Selected individual will be required to make technical presentations to peers and managers on the details of the design and project implementation status.

Qualifications/Requirements: BE / BTech Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Automation Engineering (or similar field) with particular emphasis on real time data acquisition and database design with 3 to 5 years of exp. Senior .Design Engineer – Equipment

Essential Functions (Responsibilities). As Part of Global Equipment Technology team will be working on Growth/VCP programs. Will be responsible for the integrity of the design & documentation to GE / certification standards. Need to work with Project Leaders to execute the programs utilizing the "A" /"C" change process. Need to liaise with Product Owners for necessary information/reviews.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities). Responsible for generating conceptual designs. Responsible for Electro-Mechanical design. He/She would be required to design Current path, Arc Runner & Arc Chamber with knowledge of Short circuit behavior.

Quality Engineer Enclosed Products

Enclosed Products Purpose: To drive quality related projects for Enclosed products like load centers, Meter socket load centers, safety switches, QMR and ADS switches…. To support Product owner in daily activities, Principal duties and responsibilities: Project execution involving dimensional tolerance analysis, kinematics analysis, Structural and electro-mechanical analysis.

Project generation, which will result in reducing warranty and number of defects in products. To support manufacturing plants in correcting BOM, approving waivers, controlling internal quality defects. Maintain and own a deck of quality projects. Accountabilities: Reduce warranty and number of defects, both Internal (manufacturing plant) and External (customers).

On time project execution, timely support to plants. Completion of Change requests and change notices (long range). Qualification required: BE/B Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial production. Part modeling, Assembly modeling, drawing creation using Pro Engineer. Structural and Electro-mechanical analysis using Ansys. Skills with software like AutoCad, RasterCad. Minimum 4 year experience in CAD/CAM/CAE.

Manufacturing knowledge in any industry. Qualification desired: Tool Engineering background with knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, molding, casting, extrusion, rolling…) and assembly line operations. Experience related to switch gear, breakers, enclosures. Kinematics analysis using Pro Mechanica or working model. Exposure to Six sigma methodologies.

Product Engineer for Electronic Trip Systems

Electronics Engineers

Responsibilities. Primary: Study the existing products - identify the components getting obsolete, identify alternative components, make qualification plan and get approved. Design of power supply and reverse engineering of products, performing root cause analysis from high level problem description, redesign of non comply product, preparation of production & type test spec, Responsible for approval of PCB layouts of power converters and amplifiers.

Secondary: Mantaining and upgradation of manufacturing documentation. Qual/Requirements:Graduate/Post Graduate in ECE/EEE/instrumentation. 2-4 years of experience as a component engineer on analog and digital circuits. Domain expertise in instrumentation will be added advantage. Good analytical skill and good documentation experience. Knowledge on NI's DAC is added advantage.

Recreate product manufacturing and design documentation. Maintaining PCAD or ORCAD docs. Qual/Requirements:Min 3-4 years design experience of switching and linear power supplies. Switching power converters 1W - 15 kW. Experienced in magnetics design Transformer, Inductors 50 Hz -> 100 kHz. Must be able to design products meeting EN 61326. Must be able to design products meeting IEC 61010-1.

Linear power supplies design 1W - 1000W . Thermal design natural convection and forced convection. Linear power amplifier design 1W - 1000 W. Design and development of test and metering equipment for substation equipments like Energy Meter, Circuit Breaker, Relays, Transformer. Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities: Primary: to write test specifications. Responsible for internal test reports as well as reports from test-houses. Involved in trouble shooting systems. He/she is the 1st line receiver of LCS problems reported by Programma. He/she is responsible for re-creating possible faults and to write complete trouble reports. Write user documents.

Secondary: Support development team with their documentation load. Coordinate documentation. BOM/ECO/design doc/reports etc. Hands on experience on FPGA, CPLD & in using Analog Devices DSP family. EDA TOOLS- XILINX Foundation Series, Xilinx ISE , Synopsis FPGA –Express. 2-4 years of experience in designing/coding for embedded applications preferably on Windows XP Embedded platform. Assembler & C experience.

System programming with function block (Knowledge on Lab View (N.I.)) Experience in designing with the PC bus ISA. Qualification / Requirements: Graduate/Post Graduate in ECE/EEE/instrumentation. Getting attracted to the various features and utilities of the application, our Bank has been associated with IDRBT from the very beginning of its development.

In order to be a pioneer in implementing SFMS in the industry our Bank has so far taken various measures to build up the infrastructural set up for the application, such as, formation of Internal Group for SFMS, identification of branches and administrative sites in the Pilot Phase, allotment of Inilian Financial System Code (IFSC) for all branches and offices, acquisition of the requisite Hardware, becoming the Registration Authority under IDRBT CA and that too the first in the nationalized sector, procurement of Smart Card, Readers and Digital Certificates and development of API for integrating SFMS with ISBS Branch Mechanization software etc.

Based on our above preparation, IDRBT has selected our Bank as one of the Pilot Banks for launching of the revised module of the application in improved architecture. Accordingly, the SFMS Application has been installed at Bank's Payment Gateway at Mumbai followed by installation of SFMS Offline Branch Servers at Treasury, Nariman Point, Church gate Reclamation, Head Office- DIT and Head Office -MIS. Two more branches at Kolkata (IBB and IFB) are ready for installation.

The Bank has planned to provide tele-banking facility to its valued clients in some select branches to start with, which will be gradually extended to more number of branches. Besides facilitating balance enquiry, customers will be able to requisition Statement of Account by fax as well as place requests for issuance of cheque books. Enquiries on latest Interest Rates on deposits as also last five transactions in the account can also be made. Instructions to stop payment too can be given by the customer through this facility of tele-banking.

Job Cost Accounting

There are two basic cost accounting systems, the job order cost system and the process cost system. The job order cost system is applicable for a company that produces individual and unique products such as a custom cabinet company or a home builder. The process cost system is for a company that produces homogenous products, like a bottling company or an oil refinery. Both assume the use of a perpetual inventory system.

The chapter first focuses on the job order cost system. The application of this system is easiest to understand by using T-accounts. These costs are then applied to production as direct materials, direct labor and overhead.

A job cost sheet is used to keep track of the total costs of each "job". A "job" can mean one single product, such as a custom built machine, or a batch of like products, such as an order of chairs for a theater.As costs are applied to production, dollar amounts are transferred from the raw materials, factory labor and overhead accounts to work in process. At the same time, these dollar amounts are posted to the job cost sheets.
