Business Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities :Working closely with users of the Enterprise Datawarehouse (EDW) to identify users needs to populate data into the EDW. Conduct business requirements analysis and document business rules to map source data from the Bank's Operational Systems to the target data model in the EDW. Perform Technical Acceptance Testing as well as quality assurance checks to ensure that data populated into the EDW reconciles with the General Ledger and Source Systems.

Responsible for finding and reporting problems relating to data quality, for tracking these problems and assuring that the resolution is assigned to a responsible party. Requirements : Knowledge of a Bank's risk (Credit Risk and Basel II), financial, marketing analytics is required, Explicit business experience with at least one area of consumer, corporate or investment banking products is advantageous.

Possess some technical skills (eg. advanced users of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, other BI Tools),Hands-on experience of Teradata and/or Oracle SQL is definitely an advantage, Ability to hands-on deliver solutions end-2-end (business analysis, source mapping, ETL) is an advantage, Possess strong analytical skills and have strong communication skills (oral, written, power point) across cultures to be able to communicate and understand users requirements and communicate these requirements to other technical team members.

Business degree with minor in IT or Information System degree with minor in business is preferred. The senior member of the Virtual Consulting group is expected to provide the highest quality of customer support and remote consulting services to our global customers and other Ascential business units. A primary function of this position will be to leverage developed expertise and knowledge of the Ascential product line, third party applications interfaced with, operating system platforms supported to service our clients and continuously mentor and guide junior analysts in their development.
