Essential Functions (Responsibilities). Responsible for Electrical design,development and technical support of several UL product lines for Industrial applications like MCCB, ACB, MCB, RCCB, GFCI, Isolators. Responsible for generating conceptual designs. Responsible for Electro-Mechanical design. He/She would be required to design Current path, Arc Runner & Arc Chamber with knowledge of Short circuit behavior.
Should able to develop Mathematical models of assembly system. Provide technical guidance and ownership of legacy on Industrial/residential UL product lines. Plan & execute the design & development of modified and new products. Provide technical guidance to remote design teams on new & legacy products. Plan & execute product quality improvement programs. Support Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Post-Sales Support & Quality in technical issues.
Usage of FEA tools like (Ansys / Magnets ,etc). Knowledge of Pro-Engineer, Minitab,
Qualifications/ Requirements. Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3-8 years experience in Electrical design - Industrial/Residential Products design experience is an added advantage. Familiar with ANSI / UL / NEMA / IEC applicable for Industrial/Residential products .
Excellent teamwork, communication skills an absolute necessity. Desired Knowledge on 6 sigma. Exposure to MCCB, ACB, MCB Current Path Design, Arc Chamber Design, Thermal / Heat Rise Calculations, Repulsion Forces Calculations, Mechanism simulation.Previous experience in mechanism design, Selection of material, Contact tips, Welding & Brazing process knowledge is desired.
