Process Design Engineer – Chemical

Essential Functions: Develop Heat and Material balances, Process and Instrumentation diagrams, Equipment sizing and specification sheets and all process calculations , operating guidelines and documentation required for a Process Design Package for Chemical Processes. Support immediate business needs by providing Process Engineering support to Gasification Engineering while ensuring proper prioritization and focus on existing needs

Responsibilities: Work with the Global “Gasification Engineering” Team to design and develop Process Design Packages for GE customers. Develop high quality process engineering packages meeting customer CTQs in an expedited manner. Provide non-routine customer service for gasification and other related process applications.Collaborate with GRC and other relevant GE businesses at JFWTC .

Qualifications/Requirements: B.Tech or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering, 2+ years experience in an Engineering consultancy firm / EPC Environment. Desired: Proficiency in using steady state process simulators such as ScimSci’s PRO II or ASPEN or Hyprotech’s HYSYS. Plant operating experience: Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills to contribute as part of a cross-functional engineering team.

Good problem solving skills - ability to consider overall problem, identify opportunities and implement changes. Self-starter, independent thinker, proactive problem solver Driven by quality, cost and speed of execution. Primary responsibilities will include supporting the major refinery projects through out the refinery system through new technology evaluation, conceptual design and procedural advice.
