Essential Functions (Responsibilities)For supporting Electronic trip systems and electronic accessories for low voltage circuit breakers.The job involves: Defining and executing quality improvement projects: Identifying root cause of issue. Analyzing design and manufacturing capability.
Working on product development (quick turn around projects) and supporting new product introduction team. Analysis and qualification alternate components for the obsolete components. Handling of Plant quality / production issues and supporting contract manufacturers. Documentation ownership: Engineering Change Notices handling, maintaining product related files in the GE database etc.
Supporting Value Engineering team and Low Cost Region moves. Support the marketing team with product strategy and advanced development. Must have familiarity with:PCB design tools - PCAD / CADSTAR, Saber / PSPICE, Assembly / C Programming, Six Sigma tools. Qualifications/ Requirements, B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics with 3+ years of hands on experience in mixed signal/embedded hardware.
Designing corrective actions. Implementation and tracking of results. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills required. Desired Experience with circuit protection and motor control products; Exposure to manufacturing and testing setup. Design and development of test and metering equipment for substation equipments like Energy Meter, Circuit Breaker, Relays, Transformer. Take active participation in sustaining activity of the existing product line. Product support.
