Senior .Design Engineer – Equipment

Essential Functions (Responsibilities). As Part of Global Equipment Technology team will be working on Growth/VCP programs. Will be responsible for the integrity of the design & documentation to GE / certification standards. Need to work with Project Leaders to execute the programs utilizing the "A" /"C" change process. Need to liaise with Product Owners for necessary information/reviews.
Develop DFSS scorecards to the respective design during the development cycle. Lead "C" change programs. Qualifications/ Requirements: Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Graduate
2- 4 years Design Experience on Switchboard/Panelboard/PCC/MCC/Busduct product lines
Design and develop Sheetmetal Enclosures, Busbars etc. Good understanding of Indian and IEC standards related to enclosed equipment products.

Hands on experience in Modeling and Detailing of mechanical components, sheet metal enclosures etc using ProE. Design Experience related to Low Voltage electrical equipment
Strong initiative and ability to work independentlyExposure to type tests requirements and coordination with Test Labs. Ability to work on ProE or anyother 3D package will be an advantage.
Provide design support for Automatic Transfer Switch product line. This involves working on design, development and introduction of new products and improvements to existing products
Execute product cost reduction & quality improvement programs. Support manufacturing plants on quality issues and cost-out projects. Work effectively with global teamsDesired: Green Belt Certified .ProE knowledge. Familiarity with software package such as ANSYS.
