Job Details: TD Analyst/ DATA Modeler Job Description: The role will be to support the Senior Data Modeler who is responsible for the maintenance of the NCR Telecommunications Logical Data Model. The Modeler will work under the guidance of the Senior Data Modeler on how the model is implemented in specific customer environments and will be required to clarify issues regarding the implementation of the model, including the mapping of customer source data to the model.
The candidate will be responsible for modifying the model to meet specific customer requirements. The candidate will be responsible for supporting data analysts engaged in the analysis of customer source systems. The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year’s experience. The candidate should have a degree in Information Systems, preferably with an emphasis on Information and Data Management
Mandatory Skills-Data modeling, Oral communication, Effective listening, Written communication, Knowledge and experience in using logical data modeling tools, Experience in the use of ERWIN, Knowledge of the Relational Data Model, Experience in Relational Management Systems, Lead or perform the coding/ testing of the solution
Good written & communication skills
Preferred Skills- Data warehouse concepts and usage, End user access concepts and tools, Telecommunications Industry Experience, Teradata Concepts and Facilities. Selected Skills:
Other Expertise, Expert, 5-7 Years. Additional Skills: Needs to analyze Business requirements, Produce functional scope/ Design documents. Socialize/ refine the design to balance technical constraints against business needs. Investigate and validate the impact of any data quality/ availability issues on the solution.
